WE CAN NO LONGER JUST SCRATCH THE SURFACE.

WE MUST DIG DEEP AND ATTACK POVERTY AT ITS ROOT!

SO WE'RE ON A MISSION TO

MOVE FAMILIES

OUT OF POVERTY

 

WE BELIEVE TO TRULY DO THIS, WE MUST FOCUS ON WHAT CAUSES PEOPLE TO GET STUCK

IN  POVERTY TO BEGIN WITH.

WE KNOW WE HAVE TO SUPPORT FAMILIES WHEN THEY ARE EXPERIENCING A CRISIS.

BUT WE ALSO KNOW, WE HAVE TO LOOK UPSTREAM IF WE WANT TO CREATE LASTING CHANGE.

IT IS NOT ENOUGH TO JUST PROVIDE IMMEDIATE NEEDS.  

 

A LOT OF TIMES, IT GOES BACK, WAY BACK. 

THAT IS WHY WE FIGHT FOR CHILDHOOD SUCCESS.

A couple ways we fight is by putting age appropriate books in the hands of kiddos each month, from the time they are born, we help parents understand they are their child's first teacher and our programs teach parents how to prepare their kiddos to be successful in school.

SOMETIMES, PEOPLE GET STUCK DURING THEIR SCHOOL YEARS. 

THAT IS WHY WE BATTLE EDUCATIONAL BARRIERS.

Many of our programs work really hard to remove obstacles that pop up while a child is in school.  If we can help young students overcome challenges early on, we should see them graduating and gaining important life skills that help them to earn a wage that supports their family!  We see this at COPE with record numbers of teen parents finishing high school and choosing stable career options.

PERHAPS THEY GET STUCK BECAUSE THEIR FAMILY HAS FALLEN APART

THAT IS WHY WE STAND UP TO SUPPORT FAMILIES

MAYBE THEY GET STUCK BECAUSE OF SUDDEN CRISIS.

THAT IS WHY WE CONFRONT ALL THE STRUGGLES.
